Aurora is an EEO employer that welcomes applications from people who have a disability, are LGBTIQA+, and people of culturally diverse backgrounds.About the role:The Learning and Events Leader is responsible for the end-to-end planning, risk assessment, and delivery of all High School Program (HSP) engagement activities, including multiday camps, oneday sessions, and family days. This role leads the operational delivery of events while ensuring a culturally safe, engaging, and wellorganised experience for students and parents/carers.A core responsibility of this role is to proactively schedule and prepare for engagements at least 12 months in advance. The Learning and Events Leader also plays a key role in maximising student attendance, leading preengagement briefings, and ensuring smooth onground delivery during all program engagements.The role is also responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of engagement activities, learning content, and facilitation, and incorporating improvements into future planning.For more information about our programs, visit:and lead endtoend coordination of engagement activitiesDevelop and maintain a rolling 12 18 month engagement activities calendarManage logistics, including accommodation, catering, venues, transport, suppliers, and risk assessmentsFamiliarity with scheduling around school terms, exam periods, and cultural/community eventsEnsure all necessary documentation, permits, risk management plans, and student medical plans are complete and compliantSupport the HSP Senior Manager to prepare and manage engagement activity budgetsAbility to obtain quotes, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor spending to stay within budgetSkilled in sourcing, onboarding and managing thirdparty providers (e.g. venues, transport, catering, cultural providers)Experience developing service briefs and management supplier agreementsAbility to maintain relationships with preferred suppliers and identify new onesAbility to lead onground delivery of engagement activities, including team briefings, daily checkins, and role assignmentsCalm and confident in highpressure environments, able to manage incidents and delegate tasks as neededSkilled in troubleshooting unexpected challenges (e.g., late arrivals, weather disruptions, equipment failure)Experience drafting preengagement activity communications (e.g. info packs, run sheets, staff and mentor briefs and FAQs)Skilled in delivering clear verbal briefings to groups (e.g. mentors, staff and students)Ability to develop and manage staff scheduling for engagement activitiesWhy you''ll love working with us:Work with Purpose: Be part of a mission that matters, transforming lives and communities by empowering future Indigenous leaders through education and opportunity.Grow and Thrive: Enjoy comprehensive development opportunities, including paid training, access to LinkedIn Learning, accredited courses, and an educational allowance.
