About The RoleWe are looking to appoint a safety focused Maintenance Fitter to join our Austral Bricks Plant in Wollert, Victoria. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and installation of plant machinery and equipment. The role is critical in minimising downtime, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting production targets through preventative and emergency maintenance.Shift Pattern4 on 4 offDuties include but are not limited to:Perform emergency, project, and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.Remove and replace damaged parts and install new mechanical components.Use hand tools and mechanical principles to fit and assemble parts.Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify problem areas.Maintain accurate maintenance records and enter data into the CMMS system.Liaise with supervisors, maintenance teams, and operators to resolve breakdowns and schedule preventative maintenance.Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Perform visual inspections and routine checks on machinery.Assist with operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement projects.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following WHS procedures.Success RequirementsMechanical Fitting trade qualification.Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics.Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and specifications.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to prioritise tasks and minimise downtime.Competent in operating machinery safely per SOPs.Why Join UsCharitable Partnership: Proudly support Children''s Cancer Institute (CCI).Inclusivity: We value diversity and maintain an inclusive workplace.Family Support: Enjoy our company parental leave scheme.Recognition: Celebrate success with Employee of the Year and Values Recognition Programs.Growth: Ongoing education, training and career progression opportunities.Support: Access support programs for you and your family through our EAP provider.Discounts: Product discounts available for staff, family and friends.Who We AreBrickworks is one of Australia''s largest and most diverse building material manufacturers, housing some of the country''s bestknown building material brands.
