As part of the AFF team, you will play a vital role in a large and successful agribusiness that spans productions, processing, distribution and marketing.Job DescriptionAbout the roleAustralian Food & Fibre is seeking Trainee Farm Managers to join our Production team across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity for recent university graduates or those looking to build a long-term career in large-scale agricultural operations.In this full-time role, you''ll work closely with an experienced Farm Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the farm. You''ll gain hands-on exposure to cropping programs, irrigation, machinery operations, people leadership, and safety management, while developing the skills required to progress into future Farm Manager roles.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the Farm Manager in coordinating daily farm operations and seasonal programs.Assisting with employee supervision, inductions and task allocation.Participating in crop inspections, irrigation scheduling and spraying programs.Coordinating contractors and ensuring safety and compliance requirements are met.Leading and participating in safety meetings and promoting a strong WHS culture.Monitoring farm performance metric such as crop health, water usage and yields.This role is designed to provide a strong foundation in farm leadership and operations, with clear development pathways and long-term career opportunities within AFF.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout youYou''re motivated, eager to learn and serious about building a career in agriculture.
