OverviewPillowcase Workshop Facilitator Volunteer - SA at Australian Red CrossResponsibilitiesDeliver Pillowcase Program workshops as a volunteer in South Australia, with opportunities to travel to support the program in other areas. Time commitment typically at least one session per school term.Educate children (years 3 & 4) on disaster resilience, lead engaging discussions and activities, and help prepare them for emergencies.Qualifications and RequirementsCommitment: at least one session per school term; availability during school hours (Monday to Friday); location in South Australia with local area focus and potential travel.On-going position available.National Police Check (organised through Red Cross).Working With Children Check (WWCC) or apply for it; complete children safeguarding reference checks and learning module.Upload a recent copy of your CV and provide details for two professional references.Preferably hold a valid SA Driver''s licence.Program Details and ImpactPillowcase Program is a disaster resilience education program for students in years 3 & 4. The one-hour workshop includes discussions and activities to help students understand emergency preparedness, manage thoughts and feelings before, during, or after an emergency, and distinguish needs from wants in an emergency kit.
