Together let''s redefine retirement living for senior Australians.The OpportunityTaringa Parkside Retirement Living is a leisurely retirement living community located in the inner-city suburb of Taringa, home to 130+ independent retirement living units & villas. Working closely with our small team, you''ll lead the kitchen to success by providing daily hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of residents. You will enjoy connecting with residents, be incredibly hands-on in the kitchen, ensure sufficient supplies of goods and will enjoy working with a small, close-knit team.This position is permanent full-time, working Monday-Friday 9.30-6pm.What we offer:$89,600 inclusive of superannuationPaid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave optionsTwo (2) additional ''All About Me'' leave days per calendar yearAnnual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive schemeEmployee Referral Program and Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providersBe part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living communityYour Impact:Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations by cooking and preparing daily meals for lunch and dinner serviceCreate fresh ideas for monthly events and functionsMonitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policiesComplete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendmentsComplete staff rostering and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to customersFollowing up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issuesWhat you''ll bring:Experience as a Cook or Chef in a kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, aged care, catering company, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering or admin experience)Minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)Who we areAs a leader in retirement living, with 30 years'' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
