The role supports Legal Project Managers in delivering tasks within client and internal change projects using established and new tools and processes.ResponsibilitiesSupport senior members of the LPM team on multiple projects with competing deadlines in coordination with other LPM team membersLiaise with the client and the Firm''s client matter team, as well as the Firm''s specialist departments and offices worldwidePerform assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness; take responsibility for completing recurring tasks without promptingPrioritise workload, seek clarification from project leads on priorities, anticipate and escalating any foreseeable issues and maintain awareness of dependenciesReview matter processes to identify gaps in controls or delivery or opportunities to drive improvement through change cyclesAnalyse and evaluate current processes, capabilities and whole team structures and advise matter teams and clients on solutions to improveContribute to implementation of agreed changes through direct training and onmatter supportBuild and use charts, timelines and other visuals effectively; suggest improvementsAccurately estimate and manage time required to support coordination workEffectively and appropriately hand off work to other Professional Business Services (PBS) teams, engaging with them to clarify requirements and ensure a successful transitionCapture matter workflows, identifying workflows, key roles to reflect matter innovation and improvement during client engagements and in the postmatter review processIdentify opportunities for new service delivery and support analysis and design workshopsCollate information for project updates and adapt report templates for new projectsSupport scope clarification and management efforts on projectsIdentify own training needs and actively participate in training related to LPM topicsTailor and reuse existing templates and make suggestions for template improvementsContribute to BM''s Innovation Strategy; become a subjectmatter expert on LPMrelevant technology and standardised processes: evangelise, advise, train, apply to projects and support refinementSupport implementation of existing and new technology to meet project requirements and encourage LPM and Legal team uptakeSource information at LPM request for proposals and pitchesBuild network of professional colleagues across PBS and legal functions, including Knowledge Management, Business Development, Finance, IT and external stakeholdersTeam PurposeActively support the project management of strategic matters and portfolios of matters to improve quality, profitability, speed, tractability, and transparency with an emphasis on repeatability, scalability and pace. Drive the same benefits to matters that are not actively staffed with LPMs, infusing project management discipline through consultation, training, templates, workflows, checklists and automation. Remain agile in bringing appropriate focus on localisation, technology and process improvement.QualificationsBachelor''s Degree (law or business preferred)Understanding of or experience in large complex organisations, ideally in a law firm or professional services firmBasic knowledge of relevant IT packages (e.g., Document Management Systems, SharePoint, other collaborative project management tools).
