We are seeking a capable and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead all plant, infrastructure, and facility maintenance activities across the Wonga Plains Aggregation. Reporting directly to the Wonga Plains Asset Manager, this role is critical to ensuring asset reliability, operational efficiency, and safe, compliant operations across the feedlot, farming, and backgrounding systems.The Maintenance Manager will coordinate all maintenance activities across the asset, implement and lead a proactive preventative maintenance program, and oversee pen maintenance and pen cleaning operations. This role requires strong technical capability, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead small teams while coordinating both internal and external trades to deliver timely, cost-effective outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee all plant and equipment maintenance activities across the Wonga Plains assetDevelop, implement, and continuously improve a preventative maintenance program to maximise asset uptime and minimise unplanned downtimeLead and supervise pen maintenance and cleaning team activities to ensure safety, animal welfare, and operational efficiencyDirect the day-to-day management and coordination of internal maintenance staff and external tradespersonsPlan and schedule maintenance work to align with feedlot, farming, and livestock operational requirementsAssist in the delivery of capital works, major repairs, and asset replacement projects, including contractor coordination and commissioning supportProvide hands-on leadership of small teams, setting clear expectations, prioritising work, and ensuring accountabilityEstablish and maintain effective spare parts systems, balancing asset reliability, lead times, and working capital efficiencyEnsure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company proceduresMaintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and reporting to support budgeting, planning, and continuous improvementWork closely with the Asset Manager and broader site leadership team to support whole-of-asset performanceIdeal CandidateFormal trade qualification desirable; however, proven maintenance leadership experience across complex plant and infrastructure will be consideredStrong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining plant, machinery, and infrastructureAbility to manage multiple priorities and coordinate internal teams and external contractors effectivelyExperience leading small teams in a practical, hands-on environmentStrong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindsetHigh standard of organisation, planning, and attention to detailCommitment to safety, compliance, and best-practice maintenance standardsAbility to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the Asset Manager and site leadership teamWhat We OfferA key leadership role within a large, modern feedlot and agricultural aggregationDirect reporting line to the Wonga Plains Asset Manager with clear accountability and supportLong-term, stable employment within a growing, family-owned agribusinessCompetitive salary package reflective of skills and experienceWork vehicle providedSupportive team culture that values initiative, reliability, and continuous improvementThe opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining and improving a significant, high-value assetRole TypeCompany OverviewWith roots extending over 4 generations, we are deeply embedded in Australia''s beef & cropping industries. #growfortomorrow#J-18808-Ljbffr
