LUXXE focuses on excellence for its clients and a supportive, teamoriented environment for our people.About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and handson Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help head up the team at Little National Hotel Newcastle. The role is critical to the success of this hotel. The 2IC will cover the Housekeeping Manager''s days off, and will supervise on other days. This is a great opportunity to grow and learn to become a Housekeeping Manager in the future.About YouYou will have a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to positively involve and interact with both guests and the overall hotel team. Must be available to work a rotating roster, and have weekend availability. You must possess full Australian working rights and demonstrate excellent grooming and presentation.Skills and AttributesPassionate and consistent with excellent attention to detail.Proven ability to build effective and positive interdepartmental relationships with former hotel teams, including General Manager, Sant, frontoffice and Maintenance.Demonstrated leadership skills: lead the team from the front, drive performance and productivity.Strong staffmanagement skills to drive performance excellence in quality and productivity, including training, development, rostering, work allocation and performance improvement.Excellent timemanagement skills.Acc recordkeeping in relation to room counts/payroll & billing, and proven previous management of daily payroll to ensure compliance with the Hospitality Industry General Award.Ability to maintain the standard operating procedures within the department and in accordance with CLIENTS requirements.Experience in leading workplace safety, adhering to policies of the CLIENT and LUXXE; assume responsibility and accountability for the health and safety of employees and the working environment.Handson approach within a 4 or 5star Housekeeping Department, conducting daily room inspections to ensure duties have been completed to meet service standards and guaranteed arrival times.Previous experience with outsourcing.How To ApplyWe are Kenny not requesting a copy of your rsum at this stage, so please complete the requested work history and education information on the application page (you are welcome to include any certificates or licences under the education section).
