As a natural people person with a good ear, you''ll support residents and their families with a range of issues, including spirituality and meaning (non-denominational and multi-faith), grief and loss, adjusting to change, palliative care and end stage of life.The RoleWe''re seeking expressions of interest for people looking to join Benetas as aPastoral Care Practitioner (PCP)in 2026. Our PCP''s provide Pastoral Care to residents of an aged care home, and could work at one or more homes depending on the location and the persons preferences and availability.Providing 1:1 and group based inclusive/ non-denominational / multi-faith respectful Pastoral Care including Memorial Services, spiritual reminiscence, spiritual and emotional supportImplementing individualised, culturally sensitive care to all residents and clientsWorking collaboratively with all stakeholders including Community Engagement Coordinators (Lifestyle)Responding to requests from residents, clients, their families and representatives, Benetas employees and volunteers for services, denominational visitors and local clergy providing chaplaincy, sacramental ministerial/church-based services and ritualsAbout youCPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) - minimum 1 unit and eligibility for membership of Spiritual Care AustraliaPrior experience as a professional Pastoral Care Practitioner in an Allied Health role or equivalentExperience in effective documentation management, including spiritual assessments and progress notesStrong interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships, and build rapport with residents and their familiesDemonstrated resilience and compassion when dealing with complex spiritual care needs, such as grief and lossNDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or ability to obtainWhy Benetas?Not for profit salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum - reduce tax and increase your take home payCareer Progression Internal promotions, cross-departmental mobility, leadership development opportunities, internal training programs + our own Scholarship programRecognitions and Awards celebrate your achievements with peer and Benetas recognition programsJoin us on our fulfilling journey, as we transform the experience of ageing through collaboration, new ideas and genuine care.
