For over 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising ''old age'' as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.We are currently seeking a passionate and customer-focused Retirement Village Manager to join our team at Bethanie Esprit Retirement Village, located in Eaton.As Village Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational and financial success of the village are maintained, as well as the general wellbeing of our residents.The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, commercial aptitude and the ability to work on competing priorities. You demonstrate a passion for the industry, strong person-centred leadership and a customer service approach that sees you always operate with a high level of integrity. As part of a wider team, you will work to achieve resales targets and refurbishments to a high standard for the best outcome of residents and the village.This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, with working hours being 8.00am 4.00pm (we can be flexible with these hours) and requires an element of being ''on-call''.About youPrevious experience in the retirement or health industry is preferredDemonstrated knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act and understanding of the needs of older peopleStrong work ethic, internal drive and the ability to go the extra mile to ensure you deliver an outstanding customer experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various individuals of varying ages and backgroundsHigh level of organisational, administrative and attention to detail skillsAbility to manage budgets, interpret financial statements and use financial management softwareExperience using Microsoft OfficeWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinations (minimum of one covid and annual flu)Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)The roleAs the primary point of contact for residents, you will take ownership and be responsible for proactively anticipating resident needs, addressing their concerns and ensuring the site delivers an outstanding quality of lifeActively promote the village, assisting with all sales and marketing events as requiredOrganise, promote and facilitate resident activities, functions and events that enhance resident lifestyle and enjoymentAssist in sales enquiries and smooth the transition of new residents into their new accommodation, welcoming them into the communityCommunicate with residents on a regular basis regarding activities, services, building improvements and ensure appropriate maintenance and presentation of the siteBe part of a wider team of Village Managers where a team catchup once a fortnight via MS Teams and a quarterly facetoface meeting is in place.Working with BethanieAt Bethanie, we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people and customers.
