The organisation provides top end designer workplace furniture solutions to leading global brands, their product range compliments the design, construction and fit-out work that their other divisions undertake.Our client offers a broad range of career pathways for Estimators ranging across specialist, management and leadership roles across support, sales and operations functions.About the roleYou will play a critical role, working with operational and sales colleagues to assist in providing clients with a seamless customer experience. Your core role is to understand the client''s needs, utilise both your commercial capability and product knowledge in order to construct accurate project estimates. The client''s projects are varied, some are with long term existing clients; others involve team work in order to successfully tender for business opportunities.This role will see you join a motivated team of Estimators who provide corporate support nationally. The role offers genuine variety in the projects that you will be involved with and connects you to the talented team across the country. Excellent communication skills and time management are a must, as the operation spans across time zones and borders.Key responsibilities of the rolePrepare accurate project prices based on a combination of sales briefings, existing client data, tender documentation and take-offs from contract drawings and specificationsCollaborate with sales to identify best solution based on client needsLiaise with internal stakeholders (Operations Managers, Administrators, Manufacturing, Sales) to support effective project administration and deliveryManage external negotiation processes with suppliers and partners to determine solutionsPrice contract variations and communicate with appropriate sales and operation membersIdentify cost saving solutions that generate value for the clients to put forward during tendersProvide support and assistance in the preparation of client presentations and other activities as requiredIdeally you possessPrevious Estimating experience (will be a distinct advantage)Excellent administration and organisational skills with a high attention to detailProven intermediate level skills with Microsoft ExcelProficiency with the MS Office Suite, preferably Microsoft 365Completion of year 12 Secondary as a minimum (tertiary qualifications in Business are an advantage)A positive and can do attitudeA team player mindset but have a client focusStrong verbal, written and visual communication skills are criticalProven critical thinking and problem solving abilityDemonstrated ability to work effectively to deadlines, on multiple tasks and managing prioritiesHighly regarded but not essentialCommercial furniture or joinery industry experience, especially in the estimation and administration fieldsPractical knowledge of joinery or commercial furniture constructionThese represent outstanding opportunities to join a global leader and enhance your career development.To apply, please forward your application with a detailed covering letter to [email protected] note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted - thank you!Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance, Administrative, and Project ManagementIndustriesConstruction, Interior Design, Office Furniture and Fixtures Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
