Due to growth in our business an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic & experienced Leading Hand to work in our Burton Warehouse. This role is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Warehouse Manager. The role will be both hands on and administrative in nature. The right candidate will be organised, have good time management skills and be able to multitask. A good work ethic & the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment as part of a small team are a must. Responsibilities Planning of day-to-day operations of both the warehouse staff and 2-3 rigid drivers completing deliveries for the warehouse General stock takes/checking off orders Maintaining stock control Managing Goods inward/outwards Supervise operational requirements Identify opportunities for improvement Picking, packing and dispatching orders Unpacking palletized containers on a forklift Coordinating/Overseeing biosecurity inspections Checking and labelling stock Loading and unloading of trucks Co-ordinate dispatch transport, traffic flow, and complete dispatch documentation Liaising with other departments to facilitate seamless operational efficiency Active involvement in the continuous improvement of the warehousing and distribution process Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policies and Procedures. Supporting the broader team Qualifications Previous warehouse and transport experience Knowledge of Safety and Load restraint requirements Current Drivers Licence Minimum 2 years of industry experience Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment A collaborative work style An understanding of supply chain, linehaul & distribution Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing A high attention to detail Previous experience in a similar position Understanding of stock movements within a warehouse operation Desire to succeed and build a career Permanent full-time salary-based role.
