Not interstate.About the rolesLocal bulk parcel deliveries and pickups around metro MelbourneOperating both single and double trailer combinationsFrequent interaction with customers you''re the face of Border Express on the roadEfficient use of time, clear runs, and plenty of support from dispatchEnsure all freight is delivered on time, in full and with no damagesTransshipment runs between our Tullamarine and Cranbourne depotsOperate a yard tug within the depot to move trailers for loading/unloadingReverse parking MC and HC trailers into docks and allocated baysWork closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth overnight freight processingBoth RolesCheck all paperwork is completed accurately and real time signatures are obtained at all timesAdhere to all relevant laws and legislation including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulationsUndertake safe and effective loading, unloading and movement of freight in accordance with company & statutory guidelinesSkills and ExperienceA current MC licence with at least 2 years of experience is essential for this positionExperience in multi pick up/drop offConfidence operating both single and multi combination trailersGood reversing skills and experience working in a depot or yard environmentA current forklift licence is an advantage, especially for PM shiftPrior experience driving a Tug is advantageousA strong commitment to safety, compliance, and reliabilityAbility to work independently, follow instructions, and be punctual and professionalOur ideal candidate will also be flexible in their approach to work, possess a strong team and work ethic and must be prepared to participate in the company training scheme.One of our core assets is our People, with personal development activities, training and a number of employee wellbeing programs in place we are committed to developing high quality teams which provide a premium service to our customers.As a job applicant, your security is our priority.When you apply for a job with Border Express, we will never send you an email or SMS asking for banking information or other confidential information, until you have gone through a formal interview process and received a job offer from a Border Express staff member.
