Boton Conveyor Services (BCS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Trade Qualified Fitter to join our WA mining operations on a 2/1 FIFO roster. You are proactive, solutionsfocused, and committed to BCS''s zero tolerance approach to incidents and unsafe behaviours.Mandatory RequirementsTrade Qualification Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalentCurrent C-Class Driver''s Licence (minimum)EWP ticketAbility to work a 2/1 FIFO rosterStrong understanding of drawings, specifications and work packsAbility to work in a team environment with limited supervisionStrong work ethic and commitment to safe work practicesCurrent and valid tickets for:Confined Space Entry (RIIWHS202E)Working at Heights (RIIWHS204E)Gas Test Atmospheres (MSMWHS217)Construction White CardPrevious experience in mining or heavy industryExposure to ISOaligned systems including ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs on conveyor systems and site plant equipmentPerform conveyor component works including: pulley rebuilds/changeouts, alignments, idlers, frames, impact beds, scrapers and skirt systemsComplete motor and gearbox changeouts and perform laser alignmentsReplace and service couplings (fluid, spider and spring)Conduct lubrication servicing of pulleys, sheaves, gearboxes and motorsRebuild and maintain ventilation fans and ducts, including pulley laser alignmentsMaintain and repair workshop and site equipment including skid steers, excavators, fleet vehicles, forklifts, trucks and gensetsUse a wide range of tooling including oxy cutting/welding, hydraulic pullers, measuring devices, torque multipliers, rigging gear and specialty conveyor toolingSupport the transfer and installation of chutework, conveyor structures, frames, rollers, skirting systems, belt cleaning systems and tracking unitsComplete all paperwork, documentation and reports to BCS quality and compliance standardsParticipate in Toolbox meetings and maintain close communication with the Supervisor/Team LeaderSupport continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality and cost efficiencyRespond to emergency works as requiredMaintain high housekeeping standards and ensure tools and equipment are decontaminated as requiredBe careful - Don''t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
