The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.Status: Permanent, Full TimePosition Location: Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, GungahlinPosition Report to: This position is responsible in the first instance to the Executive Assistant to the Head of Senior School, the Head of Senior School/Chief Operating Officer and ultimately to the Principal.DutiesSupport the Senior School Office Attendance Administrator, to ensure that all attendance is captured and timelines for sms''s met.Complete a range of administration tasks to support the functioning of the Senior School including excursion management, daily communications, events & activities and assessment requirementsProvide a welcoming experience for all who visit or telephone, whether they are internal or external visitors.Support the Senior School Leadership team, particularly in support of the development and management of the School TimetableSupport the Administration requirements of BSSS, including processing special provision applications, subject changes and other tasks assigned by the school''s BSSS team.Play a collaborative role working with other Administrative Assistants, the Operations Office and Teaching Staff.Assist in event co-ordination and planning on yearly, term, weekly and daily events.Take a proactive approach to day-to-day duties and upcoming events.Administer First Aid as required.Carry out any other administrative duties as requested, including but not limited to supporting the front desk during holiday periods.Selection CriteriaAbility to maintain utmost confidentiality and professional rapport at all timesService focused mindsetFriendly and caring attitude towards students, parents and staff and the ability to deal maturely, sensitively and confidentially with difficult situationsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailExcellent administrative, organisational and time management skillsAbility to effectively problem solve, work to deadlines and to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively, productively and communicate with staff at all levelsProficient in the use of MS Office and SynergeticCurrent First Aid qualificationCurrent Working with Vulnerable People registrationAbility to work outside of normal hours from time to time as required or consultedTerms and ConditionsThe successful applicant will be employed under the Independent School ACT (Professional and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025.Applications close: Monday, 15 December 2025#J-18808-Ljbffr
