Come on board with Busways as a Panel Beater / Body Builder at our Blacktown Depot.What We OfferEarning Potential: $110,000 - $125,000+ including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances Inclusive of super$38.69 - $43.51 per hour, depending on skills and experienceTool Allowance: $17.90 payable weeklyAttendance Allowance: $32 payable on rostered worked hoursAnnual Leave: loading of 17.5%Ongoing Training and Development: Including in-house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.Exposure to Advanced Technologies: Work on a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies.Licence Upgrade Opportunities: Upgrade from a car licence to MR licence, with costs covered by the company.Career Progression: The chance to fulfil higher duties or undertake additional roles.Benefit Programs: Fitness passport, Novated Lease options, Employee Assistance Programs and moreTeam Environment: Work in a close knit, teamoriented environment with quarterly BBQs to celebrate together.Employee Referral Programs: Opportunity to earn a cash bonus for successfully referring qualified candidates for selected positions.Employee OPAL card: Providing free travel on the Opal network for employees.Role ResponsibilitiesAssess damage to the bus body panels and structures, providing accurate estimates for repair work.Remove and replace damaged panels, hoods, fenders, and other body components using hand and power tools.Straighten and repair bent or damaged frame and body structure ensuring it complies with OEM specifications. Perform welding and fabrication work as needed to restore structure.Blend and finish repaired areas to prepare for painting, ensuring a smooth and uniform finish.Undertake the preparation and cleaning of all surfaces prior to any paint application, this may include filing, grinding and sanding the body of a vehicle to restore a smooth vehicle surface.Provide all body structural, accident damage and associated repairs, service and maintenance to vehicles as required. Work on associated components to complete whole tasks within the skill level of the position.Provide maintenance, preparation, replacement and repairs to all vehicle body components, panels, frames, and door systems.Manufacture, service and fit vehicle components constructed from such materials as aluminum, timber, steel, stainless steel, glass, fiberglass, sealing and bonding materials.Demonstrate and maintain clean workshop practices in your daytoday role and ensure that these practices meet the high standards held by the Workshops team.Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are performed according to company policies and procedures, and are recorded on the designated forms and documents provided.Maintain and perform all workshop practices in a manner that adheres to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our everevolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.You can expect to be provided with all necessary training; this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.About UsBusways is the largest Australianowned bus operator and most experienced Australian bus specialist, delivering highperforming transport services since 1942.
