The Coordinator - Crisis Intervention role focuses on supporting individuals experiencing acute homelessness through emergency accommodation and intensive casework. The Coordinator - Homestay & Immediate Housing Response role delivers early intervention support, helping individuals and families transition out of unsafe or unstable housing situations and sustain longterm tenancies. While these are separate positions, they share a common purpose: to reduce housing instability and support client wellbeing through culturally safe, traumainformed practice. Candidates may apply for one or both roles, depending on their background and interest.Working under the guidance of the Remote Operations Manager, you''ll manage a team of Case Workers and Youth/Associate Workers.Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Coordinating service delivery and case management to meet program outcomesLeading rosters, team planning, and operational performanceSupporting compliance with funding agreements, safety, and quality standardsProviding mentoring, onboarding, and ongoing support to staffManaging risk, program data, reporting, and stakeholder engagementRepresenting Centacare within the local communityBeing handson in service delivery where requiredWhat You''ll Bring to the TableTo be successful in either role, you''ll need:A Degree in Social Work, Human Services or Behavioural Sciences OR A Cert IV in Community Services with a minimum of 2 years'' relevant experienceExperience in case management, housing support, or community coordinationStrong leadership skills able to support, guide, and develop frontline staffCultural competency, especially in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communitiesEffective communication, systems use, and risk management capabilitiesYou''ll thrive in this environment if you also bring:Experience in homelessness services, early intervention, or remote deliveryFamiliarity with SCHADS Award, Queensland housing frameworks, and rural practiceGroup facilitation and traumainformed care knowledgeA relational leadership style with the ability to lead from the frontResilience and adaptability in a dynamic, fastpaced environmentYou''re a calm, compassionate leader who genuinely believes in the right to safe housing.
