You will be responsible for ensuring all freight is checked and entered in an accurate and timely manner. If you or have prior experience in warehousing, transport and logistics, we have opportunities for you to grow and excel in a dynamic work environment. As a Freight Officer, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, working closely with our experienced team members.We require new employees that will be reliable, punctual and will complete busy operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the processing of general freight from beginning to endManual handling up to 15 KGOpening freight and checking contents against the clients'' order, in particular, ensuring correct quantity, quality and types of items have been receivedEnsuring correct labelling of goods, including identification of dangerous goodsEnsuring all items are scanned to correct staging areasPreparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed safely for dispatchData entry of received freight into the clients preferred computerisation system (SAP, Oracle and Pronto)Report any discrepancies to the relevant assigned personnelSkills And ExperiencePrevious experience in a fast-paced operational environment or warehouseHigh attention to detail and accurate data entryGood reliability and punctuality at workCapacity to lift and carry heavy objectsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsStrong customer service and communication skillsComputer literacy and previous SAP experience (preferred)Ability to take direction from managementAbility to comply with company policies, procedures, and processesWhy Join Centurion?Immediate Start AvailableMonday to Saturday or Tuesday to Sunday rosterVarious shift times available for the right candidate - potential for overtimeAdditional allowance and penalties on top of base ratePermanent Full-timeAlice Springs location (free parking)All PPE and uniforms provided, including steel cap bootsStrong team and safety cultureOngoing training and career development with extraordinary opportunities on a national scaleCompany OverviewCenturion is a premier logistics company with a long-standing reputation for excellence in transportation services across Australia.
