Sonographer Deliver Exceptional Imaging in a Supportive, Rewarding Environment!Full-time Ongoing PositionAbout Central Gippsland HealthCentral Gippsland Health (CGH) is a subregional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. Located in the City of Sale, about 215 km east of Melbourne, the service offers access to Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps. CGH delivers acute care across Wellington Shire and beyond, with three campuses (Sale, Maffra, Heyfield) and a range of services including an emergency department, critical care units, neonatal critical care, four operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology, dialysis, general medical and subacute services. The facility is a teaching hospital affiliated with Monash University, providing clinical placement for students.About the DepartmentThe Medical Imaging Department offers a wide range of imaging services, including xray, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, bone density scanning, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine. Services are available at two sites the main campus and Sale CBD and at Raymond St and the Fulham correctional centre. The department supplies mammography and echocardiography capabilities and is equipped with Medicarecompliant and modern equipment.About the RoleYou will deliver and interpret a range of medical imaging examinations for the diagnosis and management of medical conditions for patients in the Medical Imaging department of CGH, optimising diagnostic quality while maintaining radiation safety. You will work within a coordinated care framework, providing patients and families with integrated health care and community support.DutiesProvide highquality ultrasound examinations across a variety of modalities, including general radiology, musculoskeletal, vascular, obstetric/gynecological and interventional procedures.Liaise with staff, radiologists and nursing teams.Qualifications, Skills and ExperiencePostgraduate degree in ultrasound recognised by ASMIRT and ASAR.Bachelor of Medical Radiations is desirable but not essential.Training will be provided to enhance current skill level.Salary packaging, conference leave/CPD allowance and a social club are available.Please attach your resume and cover letter to your application and provide a statement addressing the selection criteria, including qualifications, experience and leadership and technical capability requirements, as chorus in the position description.All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate and obtaining a Working with Children Check.At CGH we acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe saque equitable and inclusive.
