We have over 2,100 staff nationally and continue to grow, promoting from within and working with some of the best in the business.About the roleAs a result of exciting growth within our service department, we are seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at CMV Truck & Bus Clayton working with Volvo, Mack, UD and various other makes of trucks and engines.This role is being offered on a fulltime permanent basis, working Monday to Friday with rostered Saturday work.Offering variety in your role, you willRepairs, service and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks, buses and trailers.Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipmentProduce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised orderProvide support and guidance to Apprentice techniciansMechanical and hydraulic works along with auto electrical and fabrication workIf you haveMinimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualificationExperience in the Heavy Vehicle industryExperience with American, European or Japanese drivelines will be highly regardedAbility to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused teamCurrent HC/HR drivers licence an advantage but not essentialPride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standardsHigh levels of motivation, reliable with a cando, positive attitudeEffective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safetyOwn toolsIn return we offerAbove award hourly rates $$$ + tool allowance + laundered uniform + overalls + all PPE + overtimeFree insurance on your tools of the tradeFree midyear dinner dance for you and a plusone + Free Christmas Hamper and family event with free gifts for children U12Corporate discounts on health and life insurance programsOpportunity to work with industry leading brandsOngoing training and development opportunities providedThe opportunity to build a successful career by being part of the CMV Group of companiesAt CMV Truck & Bus, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
