We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.We''re currently experiencing a significant growth phase in the remote sector, specifically throughout our Central QLD Region We are currently looking for an experienced Relief Unit Manager to take us into our next growth phase.Working with well-regarded clients, the successful candidate will work a Full-Time 8:6 roster, working 11 hour days. This role will see you work across all of our Anglo sites at Moura, Moranbah and Middlemount in Central Queensland. Flights ex Brisbane, accommodation and meals included. Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis.The PositionManagement of Village Operations (catering and cleaning services)Maintaining consistent operational performance, driving quality, cost, people capability and performanceDriving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performanceFostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovationStaff engagement and development, modelling positive working relationships, demonstrating trust, care and respectDevelop and maintain effective business relationshipsIdentify and create new business opportunitiesManage contracts to provide servicesEstablish, maintain and monitor quality customer service practicesDevelop, implement and monitor retail sales and marketing strategyEffectively manage the cost of goods and/or food within the workplaceManage finances within a budgetEffectively utilise Compass systems to maintain efficient operationsLead and manage an effective teamRecruit and induct staffTrain and develop employeesDevelop and update legal/regulatory knowledge required for business complianceEstablish and maintain a safe and secure workplacePromote and maintain our safety cultureEstablish and maintain an environmentally sustainable workplaceThe PersonExperience in Village Management or Assistant/Relief Management positionsBusiness or degree qualificationsContract management experienceChef qualifications are also desirable, as is proven management experience in the hospitality field, ideally within a Catering and or Accommodation services environment.Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective and engaged teamsExperience managing multiple stakeholder relationships and project deadlines with competing prioritiesStrong financial and analytical skills in developing budgets and allocating appropriate resources to ensure a sustainable and profitable business, preferably within the remote or offshore sector.Ability to identify and implement new innovations within the facilities management, hospitality, or hotel services industry.Experience in Staff recruitment, retention, rostering, and subsequent management of both permanent and casual workforces.Ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgroundsAbility to identify contract retention and new business opportunitiesComputer literate ability to use IT systems to maintain efficient operationsIn depth understanding of occupational health, safety and environment and ability to apply principles.Proven experience in managing successful teamsSingle site operational experience in a similar role within the industryStrong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budgetWorking knowledge of workplace regulations, including award and agreement requirementsThe BenefitsYou will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes you would expect from a global organisation.
