The position promotes a healthy work-life balance, typically following a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.Manage the kitchen operations during busy functions & EventsOperate and execute innovative menus incorporating Chartwells brand standardsEnsure administrative tasks are completeSharing of knowledge & passion for nutrition and wellbeingEnsure the safe production of a quality product without compromise in line with food safety guidelines including allergen managementTake responsibility for the control of costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimisation and stock controlMaintain a customer focus at all times, establish and foster positive relationships with key client stakeholders and be the face of culinary operationsCommercially astute with an eye for detail, quality and presentation standardsThe PersonA qualified Executive Chef with the experience necessary to run differing types of service from large scale functions and events to smaller onsite day to day cateringSolid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentationFull understanding of Hygiene & HACCP regulations and managing allergens is essentialWill be a positive, supportive and ambitious leader experienced in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisalsExceptional organizational and time management skillsStrong focus of quality of catering deliveryPassionate foodie with a strong background, and interest, in nutrition and allergy awarenessExceptional communication and impeccable personal presentationSelf-motivated and an excellent communicatorDemonstrable attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritiseThe BenefitsAs a Manager with Compass Group, you will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes that you would expect from a global organisational.
