The Precedents team is part of the firm''s Risk & Legal Excellence team and will provide word processing, precedent document automation, technical and administrative support, and assist with other team projects and activities.ResponsibilitiesPreparing and maintaining precedent documents, including styling, formatting, creating, reviewing and testingEnsuring that precedents comply with the firm''s document style requirementsAutomating precedents using I-Deal Docs softwareProviding advanced word processing support to the KM/Precedents managers, including document creation, automation and testingAs part of the team, providing responsive help desk support for precedents users including referring enquiries to the appropriate team member or elsewhere as appropriateProviding administrative support for the team''s activities and projects as requiredConducting training (in person and remotely) in relation to precedents, templates, styles and knowledge-sharing resources as requiredAssisting with evaluation and implementation of new technology to enhance the workflows of the team, and knowledge-sharing across the firmQualificationsAdvanced Microsoft Word skills and experience using other Microsoft Office products in a legal environmentExperience using I-Deal Docs or other document automation software (ideally including automating documents using the software)Strong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent prioritisation and organisational skillsProfessional discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality on all mattersAdditional attributesAble to handle multiple tasks while working to tight deadlinesAble to work well as part of a team, and to collaborate effectively with other team membersSelf-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independentlyResponsive, flexible and proactive, able to adapt to changing business needs including new technologyAbout usCorrs Chambers Westgarth is Australia''s leading independent law firm.
