This is a full-time, permanent position working within a high-performing maintenance and engineering environment. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of mechanical plant, equipment and systems to ensure our operations run safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesFit, assemble, install and repair mechanical plant and equipmentDiagnose mechanical faults and perform preventive & corrective maintenanceCheck, align, calibrate and adjust mechanical componentsUse a range of hand tools, power tools, welding and fabrication equipmentRead and interpret technical drawings, plans and specificationsDismantle and replace defective parts, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pumps and motorsPerform routine inspections and maintain accurate service/maintenance recordsEnsure compliance with workplace safety procedures and quality standardsCollaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams to optimise machine performanceSkills & ExperienceCertificate III or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, or equivalent trade qualificationMinimum 3-5 years'' experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial, manufacturing, mining, utilities or similar environmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, rotating equipment or heavy machinery (advantage)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manualsCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat We OfferStable, long-term employment with a reputable organisationCompetitive salary aligned with market ratesOngoing training and developmentSupportive and safety-focused workplace cultureOpportunity to work on varied and challenging mechanical systemsHow to ApplyPlease submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
