We are looking for a Business Development Manager within the Industrial Projects Department at our Melbourne Station.About Us :We are the leading global brand in the logistics industry, offering an unrivalled portfolio of services across multiple modes of transportation to a diverse range of customers across the globe.We connect people and businesses securely and reliably, enabling global sustainable trade flows.With specialised solutions for growth markets and industries including technology, life sciences and healthcare, engineering, manufacturing and energy, automobility, and retail we are decisively positioned as "The logistics company for the world."Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement business strategies to expand the customer base, grow revenue, and increase gross profit.Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while managing and strengthening key customer relationships.Lead tender management, solution design, pricing, contract negotiations, and agreement finalisation.Analyse market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities, providing clear reports and presentations.Collaborate nationally and internationally, providing leadership in areas of sector strength and supporting opportunity development.Ensure smooth project execution by coordinating with operational and administrative teams, including handling complaints and customs / project support.Build and maintain partnerships with carriers, hauliers, and service providers to strengthen cooperation and service delivery.Execute any other duties assigned by your manager that fall within the general scope of the role.Key AccountabilitiesDrive business growth by developing strategies, identifying opportunities, and expanding the customer base to increase revenue and profitability.Build, manage, and strengthen longterm relationships with key customers, new clients, and business partners.Lead tender processes, solution design, pricing, contract negotiations, and agreement finalisation.Analyse and report on market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities to inform strategy and decisionmaking.Strengthen alliances with carriers, hauliers, and service providers to improve service delivery and cooperation.Represent the business through regular client appointments, networking, and the introduction of new contacts.Collaborate nationally and internationally to support business opportunities and provide leadership in sector strengths.To be successful, you will need :5-10 years of experience in the field of Project & Heavy lift transportation, in a similar roleBachelor Degree in Business or Project Management desiredProficiency with CRM SystemsStrong communication, analytical, and commercial negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and a proactive work ethicAbility to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple priorities :What to expect from us :What makes DHL great?
