Diesel Mechanic (Vehicle Service Coordinator)Join dnataDo you have a mechanical trade qualification, proven diagnostic skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence? We invite you to support our Fleet Management team at Melbourne Airport.ResponsibilitiesAs a Vehicle Service Coordinator, you will ensure our large fleet of specialised trucks are well maintained and remain roadworthy. Your tasks will include:Inspecting and testdriving vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure safety.Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other critical components.Troubleshooting fuel, ignition and emissions control systems using electronic diagnostics.Tuning engines for optimal performance.Repairing, replacing or adjusting defective parts.Performing scheduled routine maintenance.Installing or repairing airconditioners and related components.Managing and updating spareparts inventory and the vehicle maintenance system.Coordinating services and repairs performed by contractors to minimise business impact.Being oncall after hours for breakdown support.QualificationsShift pattern Thursday through Monday with Tuesday and Wednesday off.Demonstrated experience on Diesel vehicles.Mechanical trade qualifications.Heavyrigid license or willingness to obtain one.Proven diagnostic skills.Knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs.Good written and verbal communication; computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word).Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime as required.Mandatory police check clearance (at company cost).BenefitsDaily staff meals and uniforms.A supportive, closeknit team that prioritises excellent customer service.Employee benefits programme wellbeing platform, discounted private health insurance and special discounts from over 700 retailers.5 weeks annual leave.Career advancement opportunities.About UsWe are Australia''s largest and most admired inflight catering and retail partner.
