We run places of healthcare and education, custodial facilities, we manage customer data centres and critical systems, we take asset management risk over 25 years through our portfolio of Public Private Partnership (PPP) contracts, and we are a trusted advisor and partner to our New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces.Job DescriptionWe currently have multiple positions available for Full Time Senior Security Officers to join the team at The Royal Children''s Hospital.You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all staff, and visitors to sites. Reporting to the Security Team Leader, you''ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services in a high-pressure environment.You must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, on 4 days on (2 days, 2 nights) 4 days off roster.What You''ll Do (key responsibilities)This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:Provide security service across the Hospital and assist in developing measures to minimize the exposure to security riskPatrolling the premises and responding to emergency incidentsMonitoring all CCTV, alarms, telephone and radio systems, lift and access door operationsReview and capture CCTV footage for any incident or eventMonitor the access control system during shiftCapture data and run reports from the access control systemWhat You''ll Bring (education and experience required)EducationCertificate III in Security OperationsCurrent Victorian Security LicenseCurrent Working with Children Check (Victoria)Victorian Driver''s LicenseExperienceMinimum 2 years in a Senior Security role including Control Room environmentExposure to crowd control in places of mass gatheringIdentifying and setting priorities within a complex security environmentGood knowledge of security alarm and management systems, including access/egress, CCTV and building automation management systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholdersKnowledge of workplace health and safety practicesKnowledge of customer service practices.Team member works effectively as a member of a team and assist others with completion of duties to ensure all daily tasks are completed on time.Skills in conflict resolution.Focus on quality maintains standards set by service specifications and standard operating procedures.More than anything, you''ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.Please note, as a prerequisite for this role candidates will be required to complete work rights check, pre-employment medical check, Working with Children Check, AFP National Police History certificate and reference checks.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
