The role & you MidCoast Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Team Member Water Network Construction to join our Water Project Delivery team. In this handson role, youll assist in constructing and maintaining high quality water and wastewater infrastructure that supports our community every day. As a main function of this role, you will have an understanding of the knowledge and physical abilities involved in pipelaying and the undertaking of a range of critical tasks to ensure successful pipeline installations. A typical day might include Construction and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure Operating plant and equipment including excavators, loaders, and cranes Supporting emergency and planned works Working safely in line with WHS standards and Council procedure We''re looking for a motivated team player who is willing to learn, grow, and contribute to the essential services our community relies on. To be successful, you will have Trade qualification or extensive experience in water/sewer construction Competency operating plant and equipment (e.g. excavator, loader, VLC) A team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and respond to urgent works Mandatory Qualifications or Willingness to Obtain White Card MR Drivers Licence Confined Spaces, Asbestos Handling & Traffic Control certifications NULCA underground asset location Cert III in Water Operations Benefits We are committed to the growth of our employees and have a range of benefits available to support wellbeing and career development. Salary Commencing salary package range circa $62,700 p.a. to $65,900 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.) An allowance of $137.53 per week will also apply.
