Overview Join us and make a meaningful difference in a close-knit rural community. Location: Scone Hospital. This is a temporary full-time position until February 2027, with 38 hours per week. Remuneration: $116,892 - $120,680 per annum + superannuation. Role and Context Based in the welcoming rural town of Scone, this Occupational Therapy role offers the chance to work across inpatient and community settings, supporting adults at key transition points in their care. You may occasionally provide support at other sites across the district. You will join a friendly, supportive Community Health team, where Allied Health professionals work closely together and provide in-reach services to local hospitals and Multi-Purpose Services. The role includes working with adult inpatients, community clients, and individuals receiving palliative care. Responsibilities Inpatient Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver targeted interventions Lead discharge planning to ensure safe, timely transitions from hospital to home or community Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes Community Responsibilities Support clients to live safely and independently at home Assist with home modifications, community access, and connection to appropriate supports Build strong relationships with clients, families, and community services Who Were Looking For This role is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist who values: Professional autonomy A varied caseload The personal and professional rewards of working in a close-knit rural community You Will Bring The ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise effectively Strong skills in inpatient assessment and discharge planning A collaborative approach, particularly within inpatient and multidisciplinary settings High-level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Confidence working both autonomously and as part of a team to manage complex situations Why Scone?
