This means that you will be working in a business large enough to offer you job stability & security, interstate mobility and the opportunity to fulfil your career ambitions.About The RoleWe are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team in a busy Central Microbiology Laboratory.ResponsibilitiesRoutine receipting and processing of specimensOperation and maintenance of analysersIdentification and prioritisation of urgent specimensFiling and storage of specimens and data entryReceipting and restocking of mediaPreparing slides and use and maintenance of automated staining machineAssisting Scientists in the Lab as requiredContinuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different testsRespond to result, sample requirements and general queriesIdentifying and resolving problems at the preanalytic stageAbout YouPrevious laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology is desirable, but not essentialCertificate III in Laboratory ;-) Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirableThe ability to manage and thrive in a busy environmentAbility to work with minimal supervision and work as a teamA willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and proceduresWe believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in.
