Exciting opportunity to join our growing team in our new office located in DurhamRole OverviewJoining EPPH as Facilities Services Operative Apprentice, you will be working alongside our Facilities Maintenance team. You will be assisting them by helping support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of facilities services within the Department.Key ResponsibilitiesLog incoming job requests from clientsCreating Jobs/Quotes on CAFM systemsLiaising with engineers, contractors & ClientsEnsuring compliance with health and safety standardsMaintaining accurate records and documentationEnsure minor maintenance issues are identified and escalated appropriatelyManage filing systems, purchase orders, and general administrative tasks for the FM teamProvide clear updates on the progress of maintenance tasks and service requestsSupport internal communication around building access, planned works, or operational changesAssist with raising purchase orders and tracking FM-related spendingSupport contractor onboarding, permit-to-work processes, and site inductionsRequired Qualifications / Expectations / ExperienceStrong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Ability to handle multiple tasks or service requests efficiently.Clear verbal and written communication.Ability to liaise effectively with contractors, colleagues, and clients.Customer service awareness and responsiveness.Teamwork and collaboration skills.Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethicProactive, willing to learn, and open to feedback.Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently when required.Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks or priorities.Professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety.Enthusiastic about developing a long-term career in facilities management.Training And SupportLearning and Skills apprenticeship programmes are delivered through a mixture of facetoface and virtual methods by our fully qualified and industry experienced apprentice training team.
