OverviewJoin to apply for the Childcare Chef role at Guardian Childcare & Education in Brassall. The position involves preparing and serving four nutritious meals daily for our childcare centre. The centre offers access to a fully equipped kitchen and opportunities to engage in cooking activities with the children''s rooms each month. The position currently offers 30 hours per week.ResponsibilitiesDevelop seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to individual requirements and promote children''s health and wellbeing.Build strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the centre community.Ensure best practice food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.RequirementsFood Safety Supervisor certificate. (Essential)Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it. (Desirable, not essential)Awareness of personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws.Current Working with Children''s Check (QLD Blue Card).Experience cooking for children, including meeting individual needs such as allergies and dietary requirements while ensuring meals are healthy and balanced.The CentreOur Brassall centre is moving to a brand-new, purpose-built facility on Pine Mountain Road.
