This is a fulltime position. In this handson role, you will prepare and cook all dishes for our six and eightcourse Chef''s Tasting menu and event canaps. You will also maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene and develop expertise in your assigned specialty.ResponsibilitiesCulinary Expertise and Presentation: Develop expertise in assigned menu specialty, efficiently preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes while contributing to recipe development and menu planning.Food Safety and Stock Management: Ensure food is stored correctly with good stock rotation, maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, and monitor stock levels to assist with ordering supplies and minimise waste.Training and Team Collaboration: Manage and train Junior/Commis Chefs, sharing knowledge to enhance team performance and collaborate with Executive and Head Chef for smooth kitchen operations.Adaptability and Time Management: Manage time effectively, work quickly under pressure, and remain open to taking on new tasks or adapting to different roles to support overall kitchen functionality.This is a handson position requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude. You may be required to work any of the seven days of the calendar week, including weekends and gazetted public holidays.
