Deli Team LeaderFull Time | LongfordWe are seeking a Full Time Deli Team Leader to join our team at our Longford store.If you have experience working in a deli department or within the food industry, enjoy leading by example, and are passionate about developing people and delivering outstanding customer service, we would love to hear from you.As a Deli Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the deli department while helping to lead, coach and nurture your team. You''ll work closely with your Store Leadership team to ensure the department is well organised, beautifully presented, and operating safely and efficiently.What you''ll do:Providing warm, attentive customer service and setting the standard on the floorAssisting with the leadership, training and development of the deli teamSupporting the organisation and smooth operation of the departmentPreparing, handling and presenting deli products, including meat and seafood (cooked and uncooked)Ordering and maintaining stock levelsMaintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and workplace health and safetyWorking collaboratively with leadership to support daily store operationsWhat you''ll bring:Previous experience in a deli or food-based role (leadership experience desirable)Confidence and comfort handling meat and seafood, both cooked and uncookedA friendly attitude and strong communication skillsA genuine interest in leading, teaching and supporting your teamA love of working with food and people (customers and colleagues alike)Energy, initiative, and a willingness to take and give directionThe ability to follow company procedures and regulatory requirementsPhysical fitness for lifting and standing throughout the dayOngoing daytime availability, including every second weekend (your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements)At Hill Street, we bring happiness through great food and are passionate about giving exceptional customer service. The 2025-26 base hourly pay rates forlevel 4 adultsare:Full timeWeekdays $28.12Saturday $35.15Sunday $42.18Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends andpublic holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts.
