We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Field Service team.Equipment Direct International (EDI), established in 2008, is an independent, familyowned Queensland business in the Construction, Quarry and Mining Equipment Industries.We are a successful repairer, supplier and hirer of a broad range of construction, mining and earthmoving equipment. We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a FIELD SERVICE DIESEL FITTER / MECHANIC working out of our facility in Yatala, QLD.BenefitsA rewarding career with diverse opportunitiesRDO - 1 per monthFully equipped NPR300 Fitters Truck or option of 44 UtilityActive social clubPlenty of opportunity for career advancement within the companyAbundant and varied workYou will report directly to the Service Operations Manager and work with the Service Team whilst maintaining a "can do, will do" professional attitude and building a strong rapport with customers.Our workshop is located in Yatala (South Brisbane / Northern Gold Coast) and the position has a 5 day week with an opportunity for overtime. Ideally you will reside in the Brisbane South or Northern Gold Coast regions and you will have the opportunity to take the Service Vehicle home each night which presents a significant cost saving for the family budget.ResponsibilitiesPerform breakdown and repair work on various earthmoving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucksComplete component repairs and rebuildsConduct inspections to identify issues and assess repair requirementsRepair and replace damaged components, ensuring equipment is in optimal working conditionCollaborate with peers and management to troubleshoot complex problems and find effective solutionsFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environmentKeep accurate records of work performed and materials usedQualificationsDiesel fitting trade qualification is a mustMR Truck licence is ideal but not essentialProven experience as an Earthmoving diesel fitter, with a strong background in diagnostics and component rebuildsMinimum of 5+ years of earthmoving diesel fitting experience requiredProficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to diesel fittingAdvanced proficiency in SIS and OEM software is essentialSafetyconscious mindset with the ability to adhere to established safety guidelinesExcellent problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to addressing equipment issuesStrong communication skills to work effectively within a team environmentAustralian citizenship requiredAdditional BenefitsA company that feels like familyCompetitive compensation packageOpportunities for skill development and career growthDynamic and collaborative work environmentChance to work with cuttingedge equipment and technologiesCommitment to safety and employee wellbeingPlease note to be successful you must already reside in Australia and have the rights to work.
