QUALIFIED CARPENTER-RESIDENTIAL BATHROOM RENOVATIONSQualified carpenter, residential bathroom, laundry, kitchen projects.About the businessHMD Building is a privately owned and operated construction company servicing the greater Brisbane region. We specialise in high-end kitchen, bathroom, and laundry renovations, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship and fast turnaround times. Our work also includes major renovations such as full house remodels, house lifts, and decks.About the roleWe are seeking a qualified carpenter to join our team and work across residential bathroom, laundry, and kitchen projects.ResponsibilitiesReframing bathroom walls.Installing hinged doors, door jambs and handles/locks.Straightening walls and ceilings.Repair bathroom floors.Installing vanities and shaving cabinets.Installing cavity sliders, doors, and cavity door locks.Installing timber and aluminium windows.Installing architraves and skirtingboards.Installing external cladding and trims.Re-sheeting walls and ceilings with villa board, plasterboard and VJ linings.Fit off towel rails and bathroom accessories.No Break your back work required including demolition or completing works outside basic carpentry works listed above.Skills and ExperienceMust have a Construction White Card, Drivers License, tools, PPE, Utility with racks or vehicle capable of carrying materials when required.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Motivated, reliable, punctual, trustworthy and honest.Work both autonomously and/or with other members of HMD Building.Excellent presentation.Ability to problem solve and think critically.Experience in bathroom, kitchen, laundry and minor renovations.Experience in major renovations would be highly regarded.Patience and ability to work with and teach apprentice carpenters (if required).Strong focus on quality workmanship and client satisfaction.Manual dexterity and physical strength to undertake daily tasks as necessary.Sound understanding of math.Ability to complete material take offs for orders (if required).BenefitsFull-time position including superannuation, annual leave and personal leave.Above-award pay rates + fuel card for work travel.Opportunities to grow and advance in your role.Pathway to supervisor position.Monthly golf day (last Friday of every month).Team building activity days each quarter (e.g. paintball, Go Karting, fishing charter).Standard hours Monday to Friday, 7am4pm.
