What matters most is that you are an idea-led creative who understands how campaigns come to life in social and digital, with video as the primary expression.This is a hands-on role. You will develop campaign ideas from insight and strategy, then shape and execute them for platforms where fans actually engage. You will work closely with the Executive Creative Director, Creative Strategist, Creative Producers and Designers to bring ideas from brief through to delivery.The role is Melbourne-based, working on national and international projects across codes like AFL, NRL, Cricket, Motorsport and Netball, with opportunities to travel.This is a full-time role, with four days per week in our Melbourne CBD office and one day working from home.What You''ll DoCreative ConceptingDevelop campaign-led ideas rooted in insight, strategy and fan behaviourLead with social and video as the primary creative expressionThink beyond formats, focusing on clarity of message and relevance to audienceSocial, Digital and Video ExecutionWrite and shape short-form video ideas for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and FacebookCraft hooks, scripts, captions and CTAs that drive engagement and performanceAdapt campaign ideas across platforms while maintaining consistency and impactCollaboration and CraftWork closely with producers and designers to bring ideas to lifeDevelop clear and compelling presentation materials for creative sell-inPresent ideas confidently to internal stakeholders and clientsMaintain high standards of craft, clarity and attention to detailCreative ContributionPlay an active role in building a positive, ambitious creative cultureSupport pitches, proposals and internal creative work as requiredHelp elevate the quality, consistency and effectiveness of Gemba''s creative outputExperienceAbout YouMinimum 3 years professional creative experience, agency or equivalentA portfolio that demonstrates strong ideas, campaign thinking and social-first executionExperience working on sport-related brands, rights holders or campaignsBackgrounds from agencies, publishers, teams, leagues or creator environments welcomeSkillsStrong conceptual thinking and writing skillsDeep understanding of social platforms and short-form video behaviourAbility to shape ideas that perform, without chasing trends for their own sakeConfident communicator who can clearly articulate and sell creative ideasMindsetGenuinely passionate about sport.
