That''s the #powerofexperience.About the opportunityThe Victorian Government''s North East Link Program is Victoria''s biggest road project that will fix the missing link in Melbourne''s freeway network. The project will connect the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels, taking 15,000 trucks a day off local roads, slashing travel times by up to 35 minutes and create new open spaces and walking and cycling connections for local communities.The project includes a massive overhaul of the Eastern Freeway, creating new express lanes and Melbourne''s first dedicated busway with two new park and ride facilities improving access to public transport in the eastern suburbs.Laing O''Rourke are working with North East Link Program, Symal, Arcadis and WSP to develop and deliver valueformoney engineering solutions for North East Link Program''s South Package, which includes Eastern Freeway upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road including major bridge upgrades, road upgrades, lane duplications, a new interchange connecting to the North East Link Tunnels and new and upgraded walking and cycling connections and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Senior Traffic Manager / Traffic Manger to join us to lead the delivery of all package traffic management activities, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, environment, commercial and finance, program and occupation planning and logistics.Reporting to the Traffic & Disruptions Leader Project wide the role will support the development and delivery phases with regards to all aspects of delivering traffic management consistently across the program of works in line with NELP requirements.Key responsibilitiesLead the strategy for the package of to ensure all traffic management requirements are metProvide strategic guidance to the construction team and ensure the overall traffic staging is optimised for their areaResponsible to ensure all planning documentation (WTMPs, TSP, etc) is prepared in a timely manner to meet the project program and of high qualityUnderstand stakeholder needs and expectations making sure, where possible, they are included in the project planning, design solutions and staging/ construction methodologyProactive involvement in the development of construction methodology to minimise/ control hazards and ensure works are carried out by suitably qualified and experienced personnel (permanent and temporary works), ensuring our Primary Standards and Critical Controls are adhered toProvide regular reporting to the Traffic & Disruptions Leader Project wide of the performance and progress of Traffic teams and raising any key issues for resolutionRepresent the Alliance at Traffic liaison group and interface meetings. Work with the construction delivery team to resolve any disruption issues and maintain positive relationshipsProvide detailed reviews of Worksite Traffic Management Plans (WTMPs) to maintain a high level of quality and outputResponsible for cost control, managing budgets and forecastingUnderstand and manage the road disruption schedules at each project site and lead contribution to the KRA/ KPI reporting for eachFollow industrial relations strategy.
