As we find new ways to connect rural communities with food, animal feed, and industrial customers around the world, we''re proud to be leading the way in sustainable agriculture.This is an opportunity to play a part in that story by:Oversee the operation of analytical laboratory tests, manage all internal and external test results, and ensure that all laboratory functions are executed accurately and in a timely mannerProvide support to the QA Technicians with testing and cover the lab tasks in their absenceTraining / re-train other people as required on analytical methodsProvide support to all external teams (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance logistics, Customer Service etc) on all matters relating to food safety, quality, and legalityEnsure compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory, customer and company requirements (participate in audit preparations)Coordinate regulatory and in house sampling programs imported oils testing, AOF test check, Proficiency Test, Trade waste, and stormwater samplesEnsure all fats and oils are tested and results are provided in a timely manner and within specificationFollow, review, and update Lab documentation test methods, SOPs, and specificationsParticipate in HACCP team reviews, GMP implementation activities, and risk assessmentActively support the Shipping/Trading Team by managing export oil COAs and extra samples requiredProvide assistance to ensure DIFOT and NRFT targets are achievedEnsure Lab equipment is calibrated as requiredTroubleshooting as required to address laboratory or equipment issuesOur ideal candidate will have the following:Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, changeable environmentDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a flexible and adaptable approachConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders and some external contactsEssential background in Quality (QC), with experience overseeing quality-related activities (preferred)Proven ability to work autonomously while also responding well to direction and guidanceStrong experience supporting production or operational environmentsWhat we offer:Flexible leave options including birthday leaveWe''re proud to be a Family Inclusive Workplace accredited employer, supporting balance, care and flexibility in every careerReady to apply?
