Privately owned and operated, the culture ensures that you are not a number but rather an integral part of a growing team.About the RoleWe''re looking for a talented Civil Estimator to join our precontracts team in a fulltime capacity. The role is based in our Head Office on the Sunshine Coast. Reporting to our General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering First Principle Estimates for a diverse range of clients and projects including transport infrastructure and earthworks.Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years'' civil estimating experience with onsite project experience in the construction industry or a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager looking to move into an office role.Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying or similar is preferred but not essential.Knowledge of construction processes, operations and methodologies.Experience in estimating Level R4, B2 (F75) under the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) projects.Extensive experience recognising and understanding implications in programs.Advanced timemanagement skills supporting the ability to meet tight deadlines.Welldeveloped communication skills to assist in client meetings and to manage internal reviews and approvals.Ability to deliver competitive estimates from first principles to project startup.A proven background managing successful tenders up to $50 million.Duties (including but not limited to)Analyse and prepare tender estimates, budget estimates and other costrelated proposals in a timely manner working closely with client leaders, key stakeholders and internal senior management.Prepare and present clear and accurate information for tender reviews.Develop innovative tender solutions through the knowledge of the latest design and or construction techniques to deliver highquality outcomes.Attend tender meetings and contribute to the development and execution of the tender strategy.Create and maintain detailed libraries, templates and uptodate knowledge of civil construction.Gather, update and review historical cost data.What We OfferCompetitive salary package.Mentoring from our General Manager who will guide you in the implementation of bestpractice tendering and estimating, including the precontract function within a consulting environment.Opportunity to work with a diverse range of projects and clients from DTMR through to Tier 1 contractors.Supportive and experienced team of Senior Civil Engineers and Project Managers.100 % Australianowned company.For more information on the role, please email Robert Adair General Manager [email protected] level: MidSenior levelEmployment type: ContractJob function: Management and Manufacturing; Industries: Construction#J-18808-Ljbffr
