This role works in the Centres for Excellence portfolio and works to generate significant funding for the Epworth''s seven Centres of Research Excellence.As a senior member of the philanthropic team, this role will engage and collaborate with the Epworth Medical Foundation staff, in addition to the Epworth medical leaders, Research Program Manager, Centre Managers, Epworth Nurses and the Donor Relations team.The Donor Relations Manager will formulate and execute a donor engagement program that fosters a culture of gratitude and identifies major gifts and bequests prospects whilst identifying new fundraising channels to pursue.In addition to this, the role will be responsible for the following:Proactively engage with Epworth Healthcare to understand the projects and needs in order to support them with funding through multiple channelsIdentify new donors to create bespoke, personal proposals to strengthen relationships and opportunities for the CentresIn collaboration with the Epworth Healthcare, understand the priorities for funding needs and respond accordinglyCoordinate the review and reporting of outcomes which will further identify new income streamsOngoing development of the comprehensive grateful patient program to enhance donor supportDevelop a communication and stewardship strategy to provide updates on Epworth achievementsBuild customer relations with patients and their familiesSkills and experienceThe Donor Relations Manager will have a strong desire to create and deliver funding opportunities through strong relationship management with major donors, trusts and foundations and bequestors.To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:Extensive experience in senior philanthropic roles, and the ability to engage with major donors and communities to support the causeA strong track record of identifying and securing funding for campaigns and ongoing researchIdeally a qualification in a relevant tertiary field or the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA)Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a natural aptitude to nurture relationships that benefit the organisationA desire to grow philanthropic income to support research and the communities which benefit from positive outcomes of programsYou will be self-motivated and passionate about supporting patients and their families through the journeyEpworth Medical Foundation are dedicated to providing a safe and positive workplace.
