We also build integrations between systems to seamlessly collect required data. Where does this role fit in? As UpGuard continues its rapid growth trajectory, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Analytics. Reporting to the VP of Analytics, this critical role is responsible for driving significant business value through strategic insights, selfservice business intelligence development, and operational data support. The Director will establish and oversee analytics roadmaps and projects, meticulously capture stakeholder requirements, and ensure delivery is executed with an automationfirst mindset as the company scales. What will you do? Generate compelling and actionable insights from complex data sets that directly lead to demonstrable commercial success across the organisation. Establish strong collaborative relationships and engage closely with key stakeholders across all departments of the company, to effectively prioritise and drive highimpact data analytics initiatives. Partner strategically with the A3 team to provide robust selfservice conversational analytics capabilities and to utilise designthinking principles for the creation of critical, userfriendly dashboards. Work with the data engineering team to design, construct, and maintain foundational data assets and robust data products for reliable, organisationwide consumption and use. Proactively identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual data analysis across the business by leveraging cuttingedge, stateoftheart data science capabilities and machinelearning models, in close partnership with the lead data scientist. Personally conduct thorough, handson, highly technical data analysis to effectively diagnose and solve the most significant and complex business challenges facing the company. What will you bring? 3+ years leading an Analytics function within a highgrowth SaaS company. Demonstrated experience transforming an existing Analytics function in partnership with Data Engineering. Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure (e.g., cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery; ETL/ELT tools; dbt model development; modern data visualisation tools like ThoughtSpot, OMNI, Looker). Exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic insights that drive tangible business value. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences and influence decisionmaking. Highly analytical and strategic mindset, with a proven track record of developing and executing data strategies that align with business objectives. Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top analytical talent. Directly engage in the creation of fundamental data and Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure and assets. What will give you an edge? Proven experience as a data scientist or AI engineer, ideally within a SaaS company environment. Experience in developing and deploying FP+A solutions, board reporting, or other relevant commercial applications.
