We are recognised for our commitment to dignity, safeguarding and high-quality outcomes. We are seeking a Chief Quality & Risk Officer (CQRO) to lead with impact at the strategic level. The role Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Quality & Risk Officer provides enterprise-wide leadership MOL of quality, safeguarding, risk management and regulatory governance across all service streams. This critical executive role is accountable for strengthening Kandas regulatory posture, risk maturity and safeguarding frameworks, while fostering a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement. The CQRO is a trusted advisor to the Board, CEO and Executive Leadership Team, providing clear insight on organisational risk, compliance, quality performance and emerging issues. The role plays a key part in enabling sustainable growth, transformation initiatives and integration of new services, ensuring quality and risk considerations are embedded in strategic decision-making. The role has a national remit and requires the ability to travel periodically to support audits, regulator engagement and operational oversight. Key accountabilities Lead and continuously enhance Kandas enterprise Quality, Safeguarding and Risk frameworks Own and steward the organisations Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite and strategic risk registers Provide executive oversight of compliance with: NDIS Practice Standards Child Safe Standards & Reportable Conduct Schemes Aged Care Quality Standards Clinical and corporate governance requirements Lead regulator engagement, serious incidents and high-risk matter responses Oversee audit, accreditation and remediation programs across all business units Deliver high-quality, data-driven reporting to the Board and its sub-committees, supporting informed governance and assurance Build and lead a high-performing national Quality & Risk function Champion a culture of ethical practice, safeguarding and continuous improvement About you You are an experienced executive leader with deep expertise in regulated human services environments. You bring sound judgement, credibility at Board level and a strong personal commitment to safeguarding and quality outcomes.
