The COO acts as the principal operational executive and 2IC to the CEO, providing strategic oversight, driving enterprise execution, and ensuring internal alignment to organisational priorities. The role ensures the organisation delivers consistently, efficiently and sustainably, with robust systems, disciplined governance and operational rhythm, in order to support the CEO to focus outward (industry leadership, stakeholder engagement, strategy, and influence). The COO strengthens organisationwide capability, optimises resource allocation, and builds the conditions for reliability, accountability and enterprisewide performance all in support of Boardapproved strategy. The role is a key successor to the CEO role. Main accountabilities Strategic leadership Operational performance Governance, risk and compliance People, culture and change Stakeholder engagement Qualifications/Experience Demonstrated success in a senior executive role leading complex multidisciplinary organisations. Strong background leading corporate functions and organisationalwide operations. Proven track record of turning strategy into disciplined execution and organisational uplift. Executive experience working closely with Board and/or Board Committees. Has developed and led a highperforming (and multifunctional) team of leaders Change leadership experience cultural uplift, business model change, operating model evolution. Desirable Experience in researchled, industryfacing or membershipbased operating models. Experience working with the political system / influencing government Commercial business experience MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification. About you You will be able to communicate professionally and influentially and will build strategic relationships with a wide range of internal and external business partners. Importantly you can lead change and innovation and passionately sell the Dairy Australia vision.
