We have an opportunity available for a Domain Solution Architect to join our Digital Team. Engagement: Contract or Permanent (Principal / Senior Consultant level) Location: Melbourne or Sydney Clearance: Australian Citizen with Baseline Clearance (Mandatory). We are seeking highly experienced Domain Solution Architects to support a key transformation program. These roles require deep domain knowledge of the Australian electricity market, strong technical capability across gridrelated systems, and the ability to operate effectively in fastpaced, missioncritical environments. Candidates with prior NEM (National Electricity Market), or broader Australian utilities experience will be strongly preferred. Permanent opportunities may be considered for Principallevel individuals who fully meet the criteria. Key Responsibilities Lead solution architecture for system modernisation initiatives across OT, SCADA, telemetry, controlroom systems, and gridmanagement applications. Develop architecture artefacts including solution designs, integration patterns, data flows, and technical roadmaps. Provide domain expertise on Australian electricity market systems, operational technology, dispatch systems, and realtime control platforms. Work with cybersecurity teams to uplift security posture across critical systems and ensure alignment with regulatory obligations. Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure architecture is understood, adopted, and executed consistently. Advise stakeholders on technology options, risks, dependencies, and implementation strategies. Required Skills & Experience (MustHave) Proven experience in the Australian electricity sector , preferably with NEMfocused organisations (e.g., networks, market operators, generators). Based in Melbourne or Sydney with the ability to attend onsite sessions as required. Strong knowledge of electricity grid operations , OT environments , SCADA systems , telemetry, and controlroom applications . Robust technical background as a Solution Architect , with exposure to application modernisation , integration, and transformation programs. Experience contributing to or delivering cybersecurity uplift projects within critical infrastructure contexts. Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver outcomes quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to prepare clear documentation and present to senior stakeholders. Australian Citizen with Baseline Security Clearance (nonnegotiable). Strong capability to engage senior client stakeholders and influence decisionmaking. Highly Desirable Understanding of the National Electricity Rules (NER), procedures, and compliance obligations. Exposure to cloud modernisation, integration architecture, and data engineering concepts.
