Executive Director - Princess Alexandra Hospital Metro South Health invites applications for the Executive Director of Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), one of Australia''s premier tertiary and research hospitals. About the role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Director is a pivotal member of the Metro South Health operational leadership team, responsible for the overall performance of PAH, which includes 9 direct reports, over 5,900 fulltime equivalent employees and a budget of approximately $1.6billion. The role provides strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of highquality, patientcentred care and the development of innovative business models and processes aligned with the organisations strategic objectives. The Executive Director will work closely with clinical and corporate leaders to foster a culture of quality and safety, promote innovative service delivery and ensure effective budget management. The role offers opportunities for professional development and impact through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups and research bodies. Qualifications and experience Proven superior strategic leadership and business capability at an executive level in a large and complex health organisation, with significant record of achievement in setting business direction and managing performance through accountability, and experience implementing innovative and sustainable service delivery improvements, preferably in a health service environment. Strong proven record of accomplishment in developing, implementing and evaluating practical and innovative business models and solutions that demonstrably enhance performance, deliver value for money, and improve patient and consumer outcomes. Demonstrated highlevel management skills and knowledge including planning, performance monitoring and improvement, and resource and budget management in a demanding highpressure environment. Demonstrated executivelevel experience fostering cohesive services and multidisciplinary teams that value performance, improvement, collaboration and innovation. Demonstrated valuesbased leadership, rolemodeling the highest standard of ethical conduct and setting the tone for others to follow. Demonstrated executivelevel communication, negotiation, persuasion and interpersonal skills, with proven experience developing highlevel strategies for consulting with government organisations, internal and external stakeholders, professional bodies, nongovernment organisations, academic bodies and the community. About Princess Alexandra Hospital PAH is a major tertiary adult hospital with a capacity of 888 beds, providing comprehensive services across all major adult specialties except obstetrics. It is recognised nationally for its expertise in trauma management and transplantation services, including the Queensland Liver and Kidney Transplant Service. The hospital is a hub for health research, collaborating with universities and research institutes, and is set to undergo significant capital expansions over the next five years.
