Summary As the Head of Consumer, you will lead the Clubs customer portfolio, driving topline commercial growth through membership acquisition, retention, and product development. This role will oversee the endtoend member journey, ensuring positive and memorable interactions that improve member sentiment and satisfaction, and increase customer lifetime value. Responsibilities Developing and executing annual membership strategies and budgets, using customer insights and data to frame objectives and sales targets. Leading membership product development, operational processes, and stakeholder partnerships. Managing AFL and AFLW ticketing strategy and operations, including pricing, promotions, and technology integration. Designing and implementing member engagement strategies across the full lifecycle, reducing lapse rates and increasing loyalty. Overseeing membership operations, fulfilment, and customer service, ensuring exceptional experiences at every touchpoint. Leading, coaching, and developing a highperforming team. Using data and analytics to inform acquisition and retention tactics, and continually exploring growth opportunities through product and experience innovation. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including AFL, stadium partners, and suppliers. Skills and experience Proven experience as a consumer leader with deep commercial knowledge and insight. Strong commercial and marketing judgement, with experience in consumer insights, digital analytics, and reporting tools. Demonstrated success in leading and managing diverse teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CMS, email platforms, Google Analytics, and ad serving tools. Excellent written communication skills across multiple media platforms. Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Marketing, Business, Sports Administration). Experience in brand strategy, marketing, and strategic planning. Minimum three years experience in a commercial organisation, ideally membershipbased. Strong understanding of CRM applications, particularly Archtics. Demonstrated ability to motivate and supervise customerfacing staff. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Marketing, Business, Sports Administration). Qualifications and experience in brand strategy and implementation. Experience in a marketing role or exposure to marketing activities. Strategic planning background. A minimum of three years experience in a commercial organisation. Experience working for a membershipbased organisation. A strong understanding of CRM applications, in particular Archtics. Demonstrated experience managing a team of people, including the ability to motivate and supervise a group of customerfacing staff.
