Key Details Employment Type : Permanent Part Time (up to 32hrs per week) Position Classification : Staff Specialist Remuneration : $262,376 to $354,479 per annum full-time equivalent (Senior Specialist remuneration considered) Requisition ID : REQ631272 What Youll Be Doing Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Radiation Oncology services at the primary facility and other facilities, delivering optimal patient outcomes. Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines. Where Youll Be Working The Northern NSW Local Health District covers a large area from Tweed Heads to Nymboida and Grafton, providing care through 12 hospitals and 21 community health centres. This position is based at the new Tweed Valley Hospital, which opened on 14 May 2024 and includes: More operating theatres and recovery spaces Expanded emergency department Enhanced medical, surgical and mental health services Enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics New interventional cardiology service New radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service The Tweed Valley is a subtropical oasis encompassing the rugged terrain of Wollumbin National Park, riverside villages, historic coastal towns and the gateway to the Gold Coast. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, or otherwise legally able to live and work in Australia. A current valid NSW Working With Children Check is required. Requirements Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Radiation Oncologist and/or an overseas trained specialist pathway qualifications and NSW EPA Radiation Licenses (S3 and IA3). Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Radiation Oncology, especially treating Head and Neck and Prostate cancers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and lead a team. Effective clinical communication skills across information technology and written, verbal, interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
