Director - Financial Efficiencies Queensland Treasury is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join the newly established Financial Efficiencies team as a Director. This unique opportunity allows you to shape Queensland''s fiscal strategies and contribute to the Government''s economic recovery priorities and longterm economic strategy. As Director, you will support the Executive Director and Treasury executive team in developing and overseeing strategies to achieve efficiencies in expenditure and operations across the Queensland Government. You will lead a team tasked with providing expert analysis and advice on financial performance, expenditure, and value-for-money initiatives. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Financial Efficiencies team to provide strategic advice, information, and support to clients and senior executives on wholeofgovernment expenditure, financial performance, and related policy matters. Exercise strong judgement, authority, and influence to manage client requirements, team priorities, and deliver highquality outputs. Guide the development and implementation of policies and processes to achieve savings and efficiencies across government, including monitoring, analysing, and interpreting agencies'' budget and financial information. Provide strategic advice on risk identification, assessment, and evaluation of bestpractice financial strategies and policies. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to address complex financial and policy issues, negotiating favourable outcomes. Represent Treasury on committees and interdepartmental working groups, and assist senior executives in ministerial briefings. Prepare and oversee the delivery of highly complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence within tight timeframes. Drive teambased strategies, priorities, and initiatives, while supporting organisational direction and broader initiatives. Qualifications and Experience The ability to lead teams under pressure while maintaining cohesion and delivering results. Experience in analysing and interpreting financial and nonfinancial performance data and/or developing government policy. The ability to provide expert advice that is strategic, practical, and solutionsoriented. Influential written and spoken communication skills tailored to diverse audiences. Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills that foster collaboration and information sharing. Effective judgement and communication, and understanding of perspectives when developing solutions and working with others. Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded, though there are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
