Were hiring a product-focused Senior Software Engineer Tax Nuggets Academy is on a mission to save accountants from the soulcrushing world of dull tax training. Were a venturebacked, fastgrowing startup with thousands of accountants trusting us to bring them engaging and accessible tax content. Weve just rebuilt our platform from the ground up, delivering many thousands of live and ondemand video hours to our customers daily. Youll own and ship features endtoend used by thousands of users, and help us evolve our platform for scale. This role is an opportunity to contribute to every aspect of software delivery: product, design, engineering, devops and reliability. This is a fulltime, permanent role for someone based in Australia (fully remote). What youll do Own delivery of features endtoend, from initial design and prototyping to production and monitoring in our fullstack Typescript monorepo with NextJS. You wont just pick up tickets. You will help shape features, deciding what we build, not just how we build it. Implement product analytics tools to measure impact of new and existing features. Help us explore pragmatic AIenabled features and adopt emerging best practices for AI product delivery. Provision and tune our GCP infrastructure as we launch new features and grow our user base. Improve observability, monitoring and alerting of our services so that we can better respond to operational incidents. Propose and implement architectural changes to make our codebase more pleasant to work in. Our tech Tailwind 4, shadcn, Zod, Prisma Hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) + Firebase Auth, Pulumi IaC Sentry for error tracking GitHub, Linear, Slack and Notion Who were looking for Must haves 5+ years of experience in fullstack Typescript development. Strong delivery track record: youre experienced shipping features endtoend from idea to production and taking responsibility for outcomes. Product mindset: youre not afraid to jump into Figma, analyse product data, or talk to internal stakeholders when shaping features. High ownership: you dont wait for permission, you move ideas forward and bring others with you. Nicetohaves Experience on AI product teams and building AI products (think: AI SDKs, evals, vector databases). Previous startup or founding team experience. Experience building advanced search and recommendation systems. Experience with Stripe and SaaS billing models.
